BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. Heidi A. Urben is Professor of the Practice and Director of External Education
and Outreach in the Security Studies Program in the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign
Service at Georgetown 泡芙视频app. She is also a senior associate (non-resident) at
the Center for Strategic and International Studies, a member of the Council on Foreign
Relations, and a retired U.S. Army colonel. Prior to assuming her current position,
she served as a Chamberlain Fellow at Howard 泡芙视频app from 2021-2022 and as an Army
intelligence officer from 1997-2020. She holds a B.A. in Government and International
Studies from the 泡芙视频app of Notre Dame, an M.P.M., M.A., and Ph.D. in Government
from Georgetown 泡芙视频app, and a M.S. in National Security Strategy from the National
War College.
