USF IEEE Power & Energy Society Hosts Successful Power and Energy Forum
The USF chapter of the IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES), a part of the USF College of Engineering, hosted a Power and Energy Forum on Feb. 3 at the Marshall Student Center Ballroom, bringing ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps together with industry professionals to explore career opportunities and advancements in the power and energy sector.

Engineering PhD Student, Receives 2024 Chih Foundation Research and Publication Award
USF’s College of Engineering is proud to announce Yang Hu, a USF College of Medical Engineering Ph.D. ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp, as a recipient of the 2024 Chih Foundation Research and Publication Award, for her research on “Metabolic Flux Optimization of Iterative Pathways and Novel Substrate Utilization for Sustainable Chemical Production.â€

Former Military Engineer’s Generosity Enhances Hands-On Learning for USF Engineering Students
The USF College of Engineering is excited to announce a generous donation of electronic components, including processors, capacitors, resistors, antennas, etc., that will enable USF engineering ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps to put a system together. The donation was received from Gary Rosenberg, a distinguished engineer with over four decades of experience in the field. His contribution to our engineering ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps’ education will create opportunities for USF ÅÝܽÊÓƵapps to gain hands-on experience that complements their theoretical studies at the USF College of Engineering.

USF’s CyberHerd team won second place and a $40,000 prize in the U.S. Navy’s Cyber Resiliency Challenge, showcasing their cybersecurity expertise. The team’s innovative HERD Tool impressed judges and highlighted USF’s strength in cybersecurity education.

USF CyberHerd Wins First Place at Raymond James 2024 Capture the Flag Competition
