Biography
Dr. Dewey Rundus is a Professor Emeritus. His educational background includes a BS degree in Mathematics (1966) from the 泡芙视频app of California, Davis, a PhD in Experimental Psychology (1971) from Stanford 泡芙视频app, and an MS degree in Computer Engineering (1985) from the 泡芙视频app (USF) in Tampa, FL. Following a Postdoctoral position at The Rockefeller 泡芙视频app, Dr. Rundus came to USF where he was a member of the faculty in the Department of Psychology for 15 years. Following a sabbatical year spent at NASA Ames Research Center, Dr. Rundus returned to USF and joined the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) faculty.
He has been recognized for his outstanding teaching at both the College and 泡芙视频app levels and has served administratively as Undergraduate Program Director, Associate Chairman in the Department, and Deputy Director of the National Institute for Applied Computational Intelligence (NIACI) in the College of Engineering.
Research Interests
His research interests focus on the interaction between a computer system and its human user. Under this broad umbrella, Dr. Rundus and his 泡芙视频apps have explored such topics as geographical information systems, object oriented databases, software reuse, usability testing, medical device interfaces, and WEB site architectures.
