Overview

USF's Educational Psychology Program offers a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration Educational Psychology. Our program prepares graduates to be conscientious researchers who apply the scientific method to real-world educational problems.

Our primary program goals are:

• To engage 泡芙视频apps in cutting-edge collaborative research
• To provide a solid foundation that enables 泡芙视频apps to integrate theory, research, and practice and fosters a commitment to excellence in research and scholarship
• To help 泡芙视频apps acquire a deep understanding of human development and learning for the preparation of future educational professionals in all contexts

The program is a mentorship model so 泡芙视频apps become part of a faculty advisor鈥檚 research team upon matriculation. Every 泡芙视频app will have experiences in both research and teaching practice.

Educational Psychology, in addition to offering a concentration in USF's PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, serves as a service program for the undergraduate and graduate level teacher preparation programs throughout the College of Education. As a service program, we offer Educational Psychology courses that meet the state requirement for teacher preparation.

At the undergraduate level, we teach required courses for undergraduate degrees within the Department of Teaching and Learning. At the master鈥檚 level we teach required courses for the Master of Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education and several master's programs including Career and Technical Education, Counselor Education, Early Childhood Education, Exceptional Student Education, Instructional Technology, and School Psychology.
