The Lifelong Learners of USF 泡芙视频app organization was recognized as the Student Organization Program of the Year during USF鈥檚 2024 Celebration of Leadership Awards. This distinction honors a 泡芙视频app organization that positively contributes to the growth of USF's community through creative approaches to reach a diverse 泡芙视频app body.
Faculty advisor from the School of Aging Studies, Amy Corbin, LCSW, accepted this award alongside 泡芙视频apps Kevin Lipton, president of the organization, and Chen-Yi Huang, who serves as vice president.
As Lipton began auditing classes and exploring different 泡芙视频app organizations, he shared with Corbin that it was difficult to find a group with a sense of community representative of his experience. Lifelong Learners of USF was born as an age-inclusive organization to better connect and represent USF's diverse 泡芙视频app body. The group fosters intergenerational relationships through multiple free events and mentorship opportunities.
"It is often through a series of small steps that we can cultivate sustainable change," said Corbin.
Lifelong Learners of USF is helping to pave the way for USF's Age-Friendly 泡芙视频app initiative, with inclusion at its core.
