Two Master of Social Work (MSW) ܽƵapps, Pedro Serrano-Mejia and Sydni Smith, members of USF's team at this year's National CLARION Case Competition in Minnesota, were awarded the Health Equity Innovation Award. The team presented "Connect - Addressing Health Disparities, Pandemic Preparedness, and Vaccine Hesitancy in the Dakota County, MN School System."
"This interprofessional opportunity was invaluable and allowed us to connect with health professional ܽƵapps from across the country!” said Serrano-Mejia.
The third member of their team, Isabel Adamus, is a ܽƵapp in the Morsani College of Medicine MD Program. The team represented USF Health at the competition, after having won USF Health's local CLARION Case Competition in March.
The National CLARION Case Competition is an annual competition that brings together interdisciplinary teams of health profession ܽƵapps from around the country. Participation in the competition promotes the importance of leadership and communication skills and prepares ܽƵapps for interprofessional practice.
