Bio
Yavuz Akdag is a Ph.D ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp in Government in the Department of School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies at the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp (USF). He received his Master`s degree in Political Science from the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp in 2017. He wrote a thesis on the Efficacy of Cyber Deterrence in Preventing a Potential Cyberwar between the United States and China using Power Transition Theory. He holds a bachelor`s degree in International Relations from Selcuk ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp in Konya, Turkey. During his undergraduate years, he spent a semester as a Socrates-Erasmus ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp studying at Wroclaw ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp of Economics in Poland in 2011. In 2014, he qualified for a Turkish government scholarship to pursue graduate studies in the United States. Prior to starting his graduate work at USF, he spent a year studying English at the ÅÝܽÊÓƵapp of Texas at Austin in 2015. His research interest entails international relations theory, international security, as well as cyberpolitics and cybersecurity in international relations.
