Religious Studies welcomed Dr. Steven M. Vose for an overview of historical narratives on Jain-Muslim relations in India

The Department of Religious Studies welcomed Dr. Steven M. Vose, an assistant ܽƵapp in the Department of History and holder of the Bhagwan Suparshvanatha Professorship in Jain Studies at the ܽƵapp of Colorado-Denver, for a discussion on “Just as When Hindus Ruled: The Sultans of Delhi in Jain History and Memory.”

Theravada Buddhist monk and Senior Lecturer in Linguistics at the ܽƵapp of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, Rev. Dr. Kapugollawe Anandakiththi, will be the guest speaker during an event that will highlight Sigiriya – a 5th-century plateau-top palace situated in Sri Lanka’s serpentine geological zone.
